Fateweaver is a relationship mapping platform that helps writers, Game Masters, and worldbuilders see how characters, factions, places, and events connect. Build a relationship map of your world and understand it at a glance.
Relationship maps are visual networks where entities (characters, locations, factions) are connected by typed relationships. You can filter, search, and rearrange these maps to explore different aspects of your story world.
Every character, place and event has its own notes. In a note, type @ to mention a character, place or faction, # to link a map, or ~ to link an event. Each mention becomes a real link you can follow, and mentioning an entity lets you add it to your map or create the relationship the sentence describes. Notes are on every plan.
Collections are organized containers for your story content. Think of them as project folders that group related maps, characters, and notes together. Perfect for campaigns, books, or different story universes.
On a paid plan, yes. Free accounts are solo: you can publish a collection or map publicly for anyone to read, but inviting someone in needs Starter. From Starter you can invite collaborators by email and set role-based access (Viewer or Editor), and their edits save normally. Pro adds realtime co-editing with live cursors. The world's owner is who pays, not the people they invite, and ownership always stays with the owner account.
Tags are flexible labels you can apply to any content. Use tags like 'protagonist', 'chapter-5', or 'plot-hook' to categorize and filter your content across different views and searches.
Yes, with no card. The free plan gives you 1 collection, 2 maps, 100 entities, unlimited relationships, time & events - up to 25 events, 50 mb of images. Starter lifts those limits and adds folders, packs, graph analysis, offline editing and collaborators; Pro adds realtime co-editing, the suggestion engines and document export. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
Two kinds of export. Your raw data leaves as JSON, CSV or GraphML on any plan, so a map can be opened in other graph tools. On a paid plan you can also export a collection, or a chosen set of maps, as a formatted PDF or Word document with a cover page, contents, relationship tables and an optional chronicle appendix, and generate a player-safe version that leaves your hidden entries out.
Nothing is deleted or locked away. You keep everything you have made and can go on editing it; you just cannot add another one of whatever you have run out of until you upgrade or remove something. Relationships between entities are never capped on any plan.
Yes. Entities, relationships, events and eras can each be marked hidden, and player preview renders your world the way your table would see it so you can check before a session. Map annotations can be kept owner-only, and a player-safe document export leaves your hidden entries out of the file you hand over.
Sign up for a free account, create your first collection, then add a relationship map. Start with a few key characters or locations and build connections from there. Our examples page has detailed walkthroughs to learn from.
